ALttP Boss Guide

Eastern Palace Boss: Armos Knights

Upon entering the boss room, you will see six blue knights standing in the center. Make sure you have plenty of arrows before entering. They will start moving (,to be honest, I think the Prancing Knights is a more adapt name,) and the battle will begin. The best approach is to stay near the walls to avoid the knights. Equip your bow and arrows, and fire at the knights. 3 shots will take care of each knight. When you get down to the last knight, it will turn red, and start jumping. Get out of the way, and as soon as the red knight falls, hit it with your sword or shoot it with arrows. Three arrow shots will take care of it, winning the boss battle.

Desert Palace Boss:

After you enter the Desert Palace Boss Chamber, the 3 worm bosses will come out of the ground. They are pretty easy to beat, as long as you stick to a strategy. When you see the ground moving, it means one of the worms is about to surface. Station yourself next to the moving ground, and strike the worm as it comes out. Be careful though, as four rocks will fly at you. The four rocks move diagnol in opposite directions, so stand directly next to the ground, not on an angle, while waiting for the worm. After killing 2 of the worms, the 3rd will be a little more tricky. 8 rocks will pop out of the ground, covering the 8 points on a compass rose. Try your best to dodge them and hit the worm. After killing the 3rd worm, another pendant will be yours.

Tower of Hera Boss: Moldorm

This boss, while only requiring your sword to kill, can be really frustrating to battle. Though Moldorm has no special attacks, it shoves you back when you hit it. There are no walls to stop from being shoved back, and the battle ground is surrounded by a pit, which causes you to fall one story down(,or two if you fall in the middle), and resets all progress you made on the boss. The only vunerable part on Moldorm is the red part at the end of its tail. Keep your distance and stand away from the holes in the ground, and strike when Moldorm passes by. After around 8 hits with your sword, the boss will move much faster and be tougher to take down, but keep to your strategy and you should be fine. As long as you can make sure you don't fall down the holes, Moldorm shouldn't pose too much trouble.

Agahnim

Agahnim is actually pretty easy to beat. He has three attacks that he'll use on you, and the only way you can harm him is by turning his attack back on him. His primary attack is a little black ball of magic that he'll throw at you. Stand at the opposite side of the room of him to give you ample time to identify the attack, and if it is the little black ball, use your master sword or bug net to deflect the attack back at him and hurt him. Make sure to time your hit correctly though. Agahnim's other two attacks can't be used against him, and must be dodged. One of them is a bunch of tiny blue balls that form a circle. Hitting this will cause them to spray in all directions, harming you, so just dodge it. Agahnim's other attack is a real painful one, causing a lot of damage. He'll throw a giant bolt of lightning at you, which is nearly impossible to dodge if you stand directly in front of him, so keep you distance. You only need to hit him with his black ball of magic a few times to beat him however, so stick to your strategy and you'll come out on top.

Dark Palace Boss: Helmasaur

Helmasaur is probably one of the easiest bosses in the game, and one of the few where a strategy is not necessary for victory. This boss attacks mainly with its tail, so be sure to avoid it. The weak point on the boss is its plated head. Run up to it with your hammer equipped and start hitting it with the hammer, while dodging its attacks. Continue whacking it with a hammer until the plate on its face breaks. You can also use a bombs to damage the face plate. After breaking the plate, hit the exposed weak point with either your sword or arrows to win.

Swamp Palace Boss: Arrghus

Arrghus is actually a pretty easy boss, with two stages in the battle. As you enter the room, Arrghus will be covered in jellyfishy things. Use your hookshot to drag the jellyfish off, and kill them with your sword. Arrghus main attack in the first stage is having the jellyfish spread out and spin around in a circle around it. This attack grows less effective with the more jellyfish you kill. Once you kill all the jellyfish, the second stage will begin. The boss will drop from the ceiling repeatedly and move quickly around the room. Hit him eight times with your master sword to win. Since it is tough to hit Arrghus once he starts moving, station yourself so that you can hit him as soon as he comes down from the ceiling, before he starts moving.
